Abstract

Platelet-rich plasma is an autologous source of platelet-derived growth factor and transforming growth factor that is obtained from sequestering and concentrating platelets by gradient density centrifugation. We have used platelet-rich plasma to evaluate the clinical usefulness for induction of periodontal regeneration in two patients with bone graft at implant surgery, sinus lift procedure, and cyst enucleation. To evaluate the clinical effectiveness, 13 days or 15 day later from bone graft by individuals, histogenetical and cosmetic improvement were evaluated. Patients also were asked about any subjective improvements. As the results, we could observe the histogenetical and cosmetic improvement during treatment, and all cases were good healing and clinical success.
